November 30-December 1, 2012 – Engage 2025 Summit – Mark your calendar now!!!
You (and those on your Engage 2025 presbytery team or potential team) are invited by Greg Livingstone, Coordinator of the EPC World Outreach E25 Initiative, and World Outreach Director George Carey to join other E25 mission champions for the First Annual World Outreach E25 Summit on Friday, November 30, and Saturday, December 1, at the EPC World Outreach Headquarters in Livonia, Michigan.
The summit will be held from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Friday, the 30th and 9:00 AM through lunch on Saturday, Dec 1st.
This event will include those of you who are involved in your presbytery in an existing or future partnership of churches all committed to reach ten (at least) unengaged Muslim people groups by the year 2025 with an EPC World Outreach church planting movement among them.
Attendees will be asked to present the progress of E25 in their presbytery and to interact with others from other presbyteries to share stories and ideas, a time of “iron sharpening iron” for the E25 movement that has now gained significant interest across the EPC denomination. Some presbytery partnerships have moved as far as having a team leader on the field. Others are just in the initial praying stages of development. Others, somewhere in between. No matter where your progress is, it is worth hearing about and sharing with all the others to know how you reached where you are and what your next goals are. If you are simply an individual or know of an individual who is interested, please attend as well.
Greg and our Engage 2025 team will be presenting training for presbytery partnerships, ideas for point people leading working groups and partnerships, and challenging each person present with ideas and concepts of reaching the unengaged Muslim people groups of the earth who have no church in their midst. We will interact with E25 missionaries on the field live via skype video.
Would you please promote this E25 Summit with your fellow missions champions and urge them to attend with you. Also, respond to patti.moore@epc.org and let her know the number attending from your presbytery. Don’t wait until all have told you they will come, but report them as you know of them.
As far as costs go, there is no registration fee of any kind and we have a reduced rate for hotel rooms within a short walking distance of the EPC headquarters. Patti can register you for the event and set you up at the hotel. Travel and hotel costs will be your responsibility. Lunches, dinner, and snacks will be provided by Engage 2025.
We anticipate having a quality experience together as we catch a larger picture of what God is doing across the EPC with the Engage 2025 Initiative.
There will be more denomination-wide publicity forthcoming for the event, so we hope to have a rather large gathering of missions minded EPC’ers to share together for a day and a half. You also get to tour the EPC headquarters and meet the charming staff of the EPC who keep everything together for the near 370 plus churches, more than double our number five years ago.
This is a thrilling moment for the EPC and the kingdom.
