David Swanson opens business session with Orlando update

David Swanson, Teaching Elder from the Presbytery of Florida and Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando, opened the June 23 business session with prayer and an update of ministry efforts of his congregation and leaders in the aftermath of the shootings at the Pulse nightclub.

He noted that the grief resulting from the tragedy has offered significant opportunity for ministry to the Central Florida LGBTQ community.

“We are united in our pain for our city,” he said.
