General Assembly news and notes

Arise and Shine: 35th General AssemblyThe 35th General Assembly in Orlando is fast approaching, and we wanted to make you aware of a few important items related to registration and logistics.

Hotels:

Has your church reserved more rooms at one of the General Assembly hotels than you will actually need? Before you cancel with the hotel, please contact Sandy Milis at sandy.milis@epc.org or 734-838-6946. She manages the EPC room blocks and maintains a room waiting list, and a number of people are looking for rooms.

We have added a block of rooms at the Aloft Hotel in downtown Orlando, a new hotel just a few blocks from First Presbyterian Church. Ask for the EPC General Assembly rate when calling. Book by June 2 or until our block is full. Click here for more information.

Ruling Elders:

Have you completed the two-step registration process? Step one is certification. Your Clerk of Session needs to verify that you have been elected to represent your church. Click here to download the certification form if you need one. Step two is program registration at www.epcga.org, where you register for meals and your choice of events. Register by May 31 while rates are low. After June 1, all fees double. That’s our not-so-subtle encouragement to be considerate to our generous hosts in Orlando, who need good numbers for their planning.

Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you in Orlando!
