Chapel Hill Presbyterian in Gig Harbor, Washington recently marked 50 years as a church. As part of their 50th “Jubilee” Celebration, Chapel Hill conducted public baptisms. Twenty people signed up to be baptized in Gig Harbor Bay on August 18. Assistant Pastor Larry Hackman confirmed that twenty-one spectators from the crowd of about 200 also came forward to be baptized. The next day Chapel Hill held a “Jubilee in the Park” for the community. It featured music, games, free hot dogs and booths for ministry partners that presented different aspects of jubilee. To view a short video of that event go to https://vimeo.com/73150430.
