An organizational planning meeting for a potential Great Plains Presbytery will take place on Friday, October 26. To date, leaders from eleven of the churches that would make up the new presbytery have indicated they will come to the meeting. Former Moderator and current Committee on Administration (COA) Chair Doug Klein will host the meeting.
The 2012 General Assembly gave the Committee on Administration the task of pursuing the development and creation of a new presbytery in Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska in the coming year, with the expectation that the COA would make a recommendation to the 2013 General Assembly.
