Twin Tiers EPC Church in south central New York held a grand opening on Sunday, September 21, for their new building. For the past year, the congregation had been renting a room in a closed church in Big Flats, a town of about 7,500 residents near Elmira. In July, Twin Tiers purchased the facility, which included the church and two other buildings. Church volunteers spent the summer renovating.
“Paying a mortgage for the whole building was not a lot more than rent for one room for four hours a week,” Pastor Paul Irwin said.
